Bed & Breakfasts

While staying in Monterey Peninsula, it is highly recommended you check out one of the many, many bed and breakfasts that each of its cities has to offer. Some of our favorite, one from each Monterey, Carmel, and Pacific Grove, are listed below.

In Carmel, check out:

The Green Lantern Inn
Casanova & 7th Avenue
P.O. Box 1114
Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA 93921

The Green Lantern has been around since 1927, offering 17 different rooms that are organized across six cottages on the property. The breakfast is incredible, ranging from waffles to casseroles, and everything in between. All of the rooms have private entrances, television sets, telephones, and wi-fi access. Beyond that, there are private baths, some rooms with fireplaces, and delicious food prepared for you in the morning.

While in Monterey, visit:

Old Monterey Inn
500 Martin Street
Monterey, CA, 93940

The Old Monterey Inn has won awards in the past for how beautiful and well-maintained it is. People simply love the Old Inn. The inn has been featured on The Today Show, and included on a list of “One Thousand Places to See Before You Die.” Enjoy strolls through English rose trees, partake in nightly wine and appetizers, hang out in the beautiful gardens outside, or stay in your room next to a cozy fireplace. The Old Monterey Inn is exactly what a B&B should be.

And lastly, in Pacific Grove, you must stop into:

The Seven Gables Inn
555 Ocean View Blvd
Pacific Grove, CA 93950

The Seven Gables Inn was established in 1982 and prides itself on offering its guests warm personal service, not to mention breathtaking views of the ocean. There is a full breakfast served in the oceanfront dining room, as well as cheese and wine hour later in the day. Homemade cookies and cold milk before you sleep? You must come for a visit.
