Pacific Grove butterflies, Pismo bubbles

This is butterfly season, when the monarchs flutter back to eucalyptus groves along California’s Central Coast, from Santa Barbara to Big Sur. Some 13,000 butterflies flocked to the eucalyptus and pines of the Pacific Grove Monarch Grove Sanctuary last year, and their descendants are due to return later this month in what is considered one of the nation’s largest overwinter butterfly migrations.
