Jazz sprang from the 100-year-old Steinway painted with a large Blue Dog on the underside of the lid and the Cajun artist’s characteristic brightly colored designs on its sides as LSU School of Music Ph.D. student Harold Mims entertained guests at a reception at LSU’s Cook Hotel.
